My Goby died, Sun morning he looked fine but when I got back home that evening he was acting strange & wouldn't eat I was afraid he wasn't going to make it couldn't find him Monday when I got home pretty sure he was dead finally found him tonight tested my water last night everything was fine tonight ammonia was up slightly figured it was from the dead fish, the clowns & shrimp are fine not sure what to think of it.

Also noticed this tonight need some help identifying it:

If you are refering to the pic right above the scarlet shrimp, that is a molt probably from the Scarlet shrimp, That just means the shrimp is growing and needed more room so it discarded its old shell. You can take it out or leave it in. At least you know the tanks healthy enough for shrimp to molt in.

Sorry to hear about the goby bud. The first few days are always the most difficult. Was he eating well when you got him Saturday? If he hadn't ate well before then I'd imagine it isn't related to water quality and I wouldn't be concerned.

Sorry you lost the Goby, then again I bet your shrimp will be relieved, from what I've read, the Pink Spotted likes Ornamental Shrimp?

That birdsnest will stay mainly that color, but then have bright green growth tips. It's a beautiful piece. Sour Apple Birdsnest it's called.
