What are yalls tought on a sump on a freshwater setup.
What could I use the refugium area for?
Whats the best way to plumb it?

A thought might be to get the wet-dry unit from aaronmc_43 and add it to your FW setup. I don't really see an advantage of a sump on freshwater unless it incorporates a wet-dry mainly for oxygenation and mechanical filtration.

It would also hide equipment, keep clutter from the main display. But agreed, a wet dry would work great.

I do have one that is rated for 300g and I have an overflow box as well if needed
