60G Freshwater
Hey guys, I just recently changed my setup on the tank, new filtration, plants, sand, lighting, and livestock.
The tank still consists of mbunas... but I added some convict juvies and baby red-tailed cichlids. Last time I posted pics I only had two plants placed in the tank, and now it looks like a miniature version of the amazon. The filter I'm using is your basic "hang-on-the-back" setup (Top Fin 60), its much more quiet than I thought it would be, considering I came from using a UG filter with power heads. And today I replaced my factory bulbs with Aqueon's Colormax T8s. So far so good, they're much dimmer than the 10Ks that I was using, but they definitely bring out the color of the aquascape and to mention they don't blind you at night when all the lights in the room are turned off.
As far as the appearance of the aquarium, I think its pretty complete and that I wont be touching it anytime soon. Let me know what you guys think!
I couldn't get the sizing right on the photos from photobucket, so here ya go.

Very very cool! Honestly one of the best freshwater tanks I've ever seen. Love the blue lobster (heard a Petco employee argue with a customer and the employee was saying it was NOT a crustacean... hilarious) and the cichlids of course.

Yeah, i second the fact that stores like Petsmart and Petco, usually don't have employees that are educated enough about aquariums and fish to actually sell them successfully...
But thats just my opinion. Every now and then i will go into a store like those and might find someone who knows something. Thats when i tell them where the real aquarium stores are located and tell them to go apply

Ya, this tank is incredible, definitely feeling a little tank envy I've moved things around since I took this but since you showed me yours...
Sadly the mossball went in the trash last night, damn male lab burrowed a hole in it and got stuck inside when it rolled lol I left him in there for a bit as time out, I'm still picking green fuzz off my intake...
Next addition is going to be some bigger pieces of limestone
