Re: Bryan's Contest Nano (killed by my daughter)
I'm amazingly impressed with the MP10s. I'm putting together a plan in my head for my next tank and an mp10 (or 20... since I'll trade bryan the new 10 for his 20) is definitely part of it. 37g tall with a mix of SPS on top, LPS in the middle and softies on the sand. I want that darn back and forth movement on everything though and the mp10 does it better than anything! :-)
I love the mini tanks though guys. Seriously good stuff.

Duh... some guy wanted to give me $350 and an MP20 for it. I'd be stupid not to buy it!

Re: Bryan's Contest Nano (killed by my daughter)
having issues with surface film due to no surface skimming. Working on a surface skimming box that will work with a caninster filter.
The goal is to make a reef ready type box that will be functional with a canister filter. the box will need to have a water line that stays high enough to keep the filter from pulling air, but I also want it to house a float valve for an ATO. I have a few things in mind that may work, but still need to build it. Sounds like I have a weekend project ahead of me.

Thanks Win, I do have one of those. The problem is it , I still need a place to put a float valve for the ATO. otherwise that would be perfect.

Can you fix the height of the surface skimmer on a fixture like that in your display and then place the float valve in your sump where the water level will drop?

Re: Bryan's Contest Nano (killed by my daughter)
if I had a sump then yes. using the canister is tough, being sealed it never loses water, only the display does. I have a 10g that can be turned into a sump in about 5 seconds, and if i decide to run this as a Zeo tank then I will have to use a sump for the skimmer and reactor.

Re: Bryan's Contest Nano (killed by my daughter)
Some of you may have heard that I had a small mishap with my tank.
Well its back and now in a toddler free environment where it is safe from unneeded additions. I broke down and ordered my LED's

I leave for Florida tomorrow, so the tank will sit until I return then hope to get this thing looking like a reef tank.
