Hey everyone i'm new to keeping saltwater aquariums but am hoping that I can learn quickly. I make several trips to the Galveston area every year and this time we brought home a hermit crab that started me down this path. I am the 27 year old mother of three and have been with my husband for going on 10 years now. I hope that this is a great community that will eventually feel like a second family to me. I will post pics and a link to my photobucket album soon so that you may all see what I have and can give me any advice that you think may help me on this journey.

Thanks for the words of welcome! I have a post in the ID thread as well trying to identify an anemone that emerged from a rock I collected on my last trip to the coast...I am hoping to get a positive id on it from others with more experience. Hopefully I can find out what it is soon...the suspense is killing me...lol.

That Anemone looks like a Warty Anemone to me commonly found on the Texas coast. Here is a link to a little info, searching Warty Anemone will give more results. Look for the warty knobs on the base, this is a tell tell sign.

Donnie thank you so much... I thought that is what it might be from cruising other forums and pictures but to have someone second my opinion is great!!
