I might stay with Reef Crystal Topic marin is a tad bit too high. But you get what you pay for lol

I have used Instant Ocean for years now. I have never had any problems with it. No algae outbreaks and it dissolves good for me. However, my salt is constantly mixing in a 40 gallon container. The only down side is that some of the trace elements are less (PPM) than some of the more expensive brands. However, I have never had a calcium or magnesium problem so I don't worry about that.

I bought a Watts system and upgraded the membrane to a 75 gpd. It's just an RO system that is under our sink. We use it for drinking and for the aquariums. I never got around to installing an RO/DI system in the garage. I have not had any problems with this one so I just left it alone.

i use instant ocean for a while now... but after some advice from some trusted friends in the hobby, im switching to reef crystals when i run out... which prolly wont be for a while lol

Reef Crystals here. I used instant ocean for years but went to reef crystals for the added trace elements. I might add that with instant ocean my calcium was always low but with reef crystals it stays above 420.

D-D H2Ocean for me, I use Reef Crystals before and constantly had to dose. Levels stay pretty consistant with this stuff. Only complaint is the price.

sure does, but I also do very frequent WC's. My levels were even low on a FRESH batch of reef crystals and would get less as time went on without dosing. The H2Ocean seems to have higher amounts of trace elements in the mixture compaired to RC. imo

I use Instant Ocean now and have never had any problems, but always used Reef Crystals in the past. I have a tough time finding RC around here sometimes. Prefer RC though.

I can't find anything around here other than a small bag of RC. I order mine from marine depot.

I get reef crystals from petsolutions, they have the 200 gallon box for $49.99 and free shipping with a $99.00 order so I end up buying $100.00 worth of something to get the free shipping, thats where I get my Chemipure and lots of other reef stuff.

I use tropic marin can get a 300 gal bag for round 125 bucks or so. Used reef crystals for a long time till i switched heard the salinity by seachem is guaranteed to have a specific amount of trace elements per batch but it pretty steep on the price 90 bucks or so for a 5 gal bucket

Tropic Mar. works well for me....Talking about water changes it seems to last longer that RC. With RC i was having to supplement with in two weeks. TM seems to last longer within 3 1/2 weeks I am supplementing a little before i do water change. I usually do a thirty gal change. Just seems more stable. I dunno what works for me may not for you I dont have any SPS in my tank they seem to suck up the cal and trace quicker
