Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
There's a new BIG lump on the same spot that just showed up bigger than the babies already. I'm curious as to what happens with it. BTW the chalk bass hit the carpet too so the tank is fishless. I'm looking for something unusual for a 10 that WON'T JUMP!

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
There are a couple of frags out of place, just sitting there on the sand, due to the anemone settling down right on top of them but it hasn't moved anymore so I'm going to replace the frags soon.

Looking great! Interesting how the nem chose a shaded area. Those par 38s must put out some light. :-)

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
Thanks. John, it's a rock flower anemone. I put it on top of that rock in the back it moved right on top of 3 corals I had on the rock it's on now, didn't do any damage to anything though. Matt, there's more light there than what the pic shows. It's just super intense in the middle and makes it hard to photograph. There's also a crevasse in the middle of the rock that the nem has his foot wedged in so maybe that's why it moved there.

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
Thanks Bryan. New livestock has been added. 2 tiny yellow tail damsels, orange ric, and a pair of fire shrimp, also Matt talked me into putting a birdsnest frag in. My plan on the two shrimp was to get them to pair up and the larvae would feed the tank when I'm not.
Fire shrimp are now my favorite shrimp ever.

That's exactly what I was thinking, he'll have trained shrimp, addicted to the BBQ sauce.

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
August update pics.
The anemone moved again so I had to move some corals. I trimmed the xenia a bit because part of it wasn't getting any light. The stalk that's there is big enough now it's blocking light to the ric so I'll probably move it to the other side if I can get most of it off the rock.

You mean roast pork needs a sauce??
I must come to the Mecca of BBQ one day.
I bet a large Cichlid tank would get you even more customers .... on second thoughts this is East Texas... you'd need a "NO FISHING" sign on the tank.

I would think a large tank with a couple Bass, Catfish.... and the sign
Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
Full, (that I can think of), stocking list since we are already past the date to add new livestock;
2 TINY yellow tail damsels
1 Rock Flower Anemone
1 Randall's Pistol Shrimp
1 Fire Shrimp
? Blue Leg Hermits
? Misc. Snails
1 Duncan Coral
1 Green Sinularia
1 Toadstool
1 Sm. group of Superman Mushrooms
1 Blue Mushroom
1 Orange Ricordea
1 Cluster of Blue Snowflake Polyps
3 or 4 polyps of Rainbow Palys
2 or 3 poyps of Pink Palys
1 Neon Clove Polyp
1 Blastomussa frag
1 Head of Frogspawn
Just off the top of my head.
I never realized how nice the orange rics are. I'm going to have to get some for my tank. Orange with blue rim, purple center and green mouth.

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
Agreed on the orange ric. I've got one in my 10g too and they're really nice. I was hoping mine would split and reproduce... but hasn't seemed to grow, split or reproduce in any way at all!

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
Seems like the best way to get shrooms to reproduce is try to kill them, lol. This ric is starting to get shaded a little since the xenia is growing and blocking some of the light to it. I'm hoping it starts taking a walk and leaving little rics behind it. I have several green and blue shrooms in my 75 that I've been trying to kill and the more I try to get rid of them the more I end up with. I've tried the Mojano Zapper, aiptasia x, cutting them, and epoxying over them. I completely covered a patch with epoxy and they came out of a different hole in the side of rock.

Re: Ritter's errrrrr...Jaiden's nano contest entry.
September update. Not much different from August update but everything is growing. There's a toadstool frag in the bottom that I'm having trouble attaching. It opens and it's growing but it's still being held down with a rubber band and still not attached to the plug. The anemone moved a little more towards the center so I had to rearrange a little again.
I took a few top down shots instead of the usual front view pics.
The duncan has grown nicely. The baby heads are getting full sized now.
The flower anemone. Owning the tank. He's a good 6 inches across.
Frogspawn,
Rainbow palys and xenia,
There's a large feather duster in the bottom right to the xenia but it never wants to open up for the pics.

I'm not sure why the duncan pic is turned a different way but it's not like that on PB.
