Any tank up to 10g ,not a drop bigger (yes I will count the drops in your tank )

OK guys and or gals, we have 97 members on this site and only 3 tanks entered in the contest. This is open to fresh and marine setups. I have 7 poeples say that they are in, but only 3 tanks. We need more peeps.

June 1 is the entry deadline , so lets make this worth doing.

Just a reminder people. For those of you who still wish to participate in the Nano build contest, please note that June 1 is fastly approaching. No entries will be accepted after 11p.m. on June 1, 2011. Also for those of you who are already signed up. Starting June 1 you must do a photo update at least once per month , update must contain 3 different photos of the contest tank. I feel that we have a good number of people to make it fun, but would still like to see more . If you know anyone who may be interested, please feel free to bring them on.

for zoas, i would say nothing bigger than ~15-20 heads per rock or plug, tile

shrooms probably 4-5 per rock

branching coral i would say no more than 2 branches with the exception of trumpet/candy canes lets make it 5

The main thing is I dont want to see fully stocked tanks on day one with mature corals that are obviously from a well established tank. This is a contest to see who can start a tank and grow it out, not to see who has the most money and can stock a tank faster than everyone else.


If you want to modify these numbers or add more limitations please post them here so we can make sure everyone knows the rules before June gets here.

I agree with that. I just wanted to make sure before I start adding things. I don't plan on even spending any money on corals for the nano. I'm going to cut pieces out of my other tanks but I didn't want to put anything in there that is too big. It don't think I even have any established colonies that would even fit in the 10. I didn't want to add say 2 heads of frogspawn and that be over the frag limit.

I think Jaiden is the only one I am scared of at this point. You "old timers" with your undergravel filters will be the easy ones to beat. LOL

I was recently asked about making changes to contest tank plans. Any and all changes may be made as long as you do it before June 1.

Tuesday 5-31-2011 @ 11:59pm is the cut off Time to enter. Any entries made after that time will not be accepted. Also don't forget, this is open to FW participants as well. There are some great pizes up for grabs so don't miss out.
