I hit the local stores a couple times a week and almost always walk out empty handed. I get mysis and algae sheets from Petco and that's about it. I do pick up a steal every now and then on a coral but lately they have only been stocking softies. Wet Pets gets a nice coral in every now and then but if it's not picked up quick it starts to look bad. The prices are pretty high there too.

Thanks, Daniel

The elite that i picked up has ph, and temp, sl1, mlc, alc, 2 power bars. dont really think i will need any more than that. The alc will control the T5's for a dawn to dusk effect, the MH will come on for 4 hrs / day during the middle of the light cycle. Then the mlc will control the lunar cycle from there.

I actually bought it from another reefer who had a seam give out and left the hobby, picked it up for $250 as it is. I do not have the net module but that is coming for sure, just wish i could control it over the interwebs like the apex. For the price i got i am happy though

got lighting installed today, sand and dry rock is in. Now I am working on plumbing and will be adding water later tonight. Starting to actually feel like a reef tank now.

ok, broke down both systems to combine everything into one tank. Had ~75-80g of water from current tanks, added about 35g of new water. Had ~60# of established LR and 100# of new dry rock. went with 80# of new live sand. Spent 2 days doing a very slow transfer and here is what i got.
Will get better pics , but these are all I have for now.
